Plot: Young publishing executive Carly takes an apartment in an exclusive “sliver” building in New York, only to learn that the previous tenant, who bore a great resemblance to Carly, died in a mysterious fall from the apartment balcony. When other tenants of the building begin to die likewise mysteriously, Carly begins to suspect that a killer may be inhabiting the building and that it may be either Zeke, the voyeuristic building owner with whom she’s become involved romantically, or Jack, a mystery writer with a suspicious quality.

what is the best way to pull a wooden sliver out?
I have a sliver stick in my finger and it’s sore. When I yank on it it doesn’t come out and hurts really bad. It is just a small sliver and I don’t really want to rush to the doctor for it you know?
Here are a couple of ways that might work:
To remove a splinter, simply apply some Elmer’s glue over the splinter. After the glue dries, peel it off and the splinter will often come out also. This is especially helpful on children who are frightened by tweezers and needles. Our family relies on this method of splinter removal as it is painless.
Using Scotch Tape
When you get a splinter, reach for the scotch tape before resorting to tweezers or a needle. Simply put the scotch tape over the splinter, and then pull it off. Scotch tape removes most splinters painlessly and easily.

Hi there. First of all how long has it been in there? If it has been stuck for weeks and is horrible and nasty and infected looking then see a nurse or a doctor…otherwise…tweezers. If it is buried just under the skin then use a sharp needle like a sewing needle. Dip it in some alcohol or boiling water to try and make it somewhat sterile (well cleaner anyway) then gently scrape at the skin, starting where the sliver entered the skin, to try and reveal some more of the sliver. Don’t dig too deep with the needle, you don’t want to injure yourself a second time. When you have revealed more use tweezers to pull it out and if you have none find someone with long nails!
If none of this works go to your pharmacy and ask for something like magnesium sulphate paste or an astringent paste. These paste help draw fluid from the skin and sometimes help draw foreign bodies closer to the surface. If this doesn’t work after a few days and it’s really stuck…get some professional help. Here are your choices –
-use tweezers, grabbing ahold of the end, pull straight out
-use a sterile (put through a flame) needle, open the skin close to the full length of the sliver (if it’s near the surface) and use the needle to "lift it out"
-soak it in warm water or leave it alone, in a couple of days the wound will "fester" ( swell-up with puss ) and the sliver will come out on its own

soak it for a few mins in luke warm water…. get a nedle and steralize it… Pick the end so you can get at it. Get some tweezers and poof out it will come right out… Good luck Grant M in Pennsylvania
